August 26th -  With labor day coming up I'm sure it will be one of the last times you'll get a chance to take some pictures of your car before you store it for the winter.  Before you do that, please read some articles on how to take good car pictures.  Here's one from Popular Hot Rodding

Following some simple rules can go a long way.  Keep stuff out of the background; watch for things growing from the top of your roof or hood; make sure that you take pictures on pavement and not grass; if you do a shot from below make sure you can see all four tires; avoid parking lots with markings; make sure you don't see reflections of other things on the car; etc.  I've found the best place to take pictures is up against the side of a warehouse building.  Sam's Clubs are great for this because there is generic color walls all over.

August 23rd -  I was thinking about taking my car to the drag strip before the season ends to see what kinds of times I can pull.  I started to think about all the safety requirements cars have now a days.  Good thing too.  Because no matter what your level of skill, you are sometimes at the mercy of mechanical failure.  Check out this rather cool photo I found on the internet.  There is so much flame that its coming out the front of the hood!  Dang.

August 11th -  One of the things I'm sure all of us wish we had in our collections are originals Chevy brochures.  Occasionally they pop up on ebay or at swap meets.  I found this site that has some photos from nearly all manufacturers.  It's interesting to go back and see some of those pictures.  Here are the links directly to Malibus or Chevelles or El Caminos.

August 4th -  The other night I'm flipping through the TV and came across a show about a tattoo parlor down in Miami.  That got me to thinking if anyone ever got a tattoo of a Chevelle.  Well I found at least one....
